What a busy, sun-filled week that has been!
Thank you to everyone who has introduced themselves and made me feel welcome. I have had lots of smiles from the pupils – and I hope they are coming home telling you how our reward system has been reinvigorated with positive praise for excellent work, manners and behaviour.
It was great to see so many of you at Sports Day – thanks to everyone who helped set it up and made it run smoothly.
A big GOOD LUCK to our Goalball, Hockey, Change 4 Life, and Dancing teams competing this Sunday in the County Finals in Grantham.
Next week we have the HSA Summer Fayre from 4:00 on Thursday – your donations from Non Uniform Day are greatly appreciated and we hope to raise lots of money for the school whilst having a great time. A reminder also that reports will be sent out next Friday.
Over the next two weeks, our new teaching teams for September are spending time putting together amazing Autumn term topics for your children. We will teach curriculum content and skills in a way that will inspire and challenge pupils – more news on this to follow!
Finally, the picture gives you information on Parent Hub – our new way of communicating with you directly. Please follow the instructions to set it up. Any issues or problems – let us know through the office. I am confident that this will be a much more effective way of communicating with you – no more letters left at the bottom of bags or in trays!
Have a lovely weekend and thanks for your continued support,

Dear Parents and Carers,
Following a Memorandum of Understanding, signed by the Governors of Lacey Gardens and Wellspring Academy Trust, I would like to introduce myself as the Headteacher of Lacey Gardens with immediate effect.
Both the Governors and the Trust would like to place on record our thanks for the work carried out by Mrs Tuff that has moved the school forward. The Memorandum gives Wellspring responsibility for leadership and management of the school and it was felt by Mrs Tuff that this was the right time to step aside and let a meaningful transition take place.
Prior to this role, I was Headteacher at Yarborough Academy in North East Lincs and I have spent a considerable time already in school in preparation for a planned official conversion to Wellspring Trust on November 1st. I will remain in post for the rest of this Academic year and also from September 2018 until Mrs Ros Smith – current Headteacher at Littlecoates Academy – takes up the substantive role.
I have been made very welcome by staff, Governors and pupils already and I hope to see many more of you at our Sports Day tomorrow.
Can I assure you that - working in partnership – the future at Lacey Gardens is bright. I am determined that it will continue to move forward as an inclusive, caring and innovative school with excellent outcomes for your children.
Thank you for your continued support,
Executive Principal for Wellspring Academy Trust
